Chip the monkey pattern

Pattern designed and written by Ashley Turck from This is Amigurumi

This is chip the monkey and he is very easy to make. Worked from the legs up, we attach the legs, continue with the body and head. This post does contain affiliate links, using them does not change your price but helps me by giving me a small percentage. The money goes back into me making free patterns. So thank you for your support.

Please read entire pattern before starting

Mc- Magic circle
Inc- increase
Dec – decrease (recommend invisible decrease)
Sl st- slip stitch (make sure to slip stitch loosely)
FO- finish off
Dc- Double crochet
HDC- half double crochet
Ch-chain
FLO-front loop only
*repeat

Materials
3.25mm hook
8mm safety eyes
Sport yarn in brown, cream, and yellow(I used knitpicks Shine Sport Yarn in coffee, cream, and dandelion) I used one skein of all colors, if using the same yarn I would suggest getting two skeins in brown so you have enough
Black embroidery thread
Fiber fill
Stitch marker (this pattern is worked in continuous rounds unless it states to work in rows)
Pipe cleaner (for tail and is optional)
Yarn needle for sewing

To make a larger monkey you can use worsted weight yarn and a 3.5 or 4mm hook

To change color:  You can insert your hook into the last stitch of the round, yarn over and pull through, then yarn over in new color and pull through. Slip st into next stitch.  You can  sc over  yarn tails a  few  stitches then  tie  and tuck  in the back. Don’t forget to count the sl st in the next round.

Have fun and let's start!
